Transparency in Action: Turks and Caicos Diabetic Association (TCDA) and Griffiths & Partners (G&P) Report on World Diabetes Day Fund Utilisation

Following the $19,000 donation made by the Griffiths and Partners Group (G&P) to the Turks and Caicos Diabetes Association (TCDA) on World Diabetes Day, the 14th November 2022, we are delighted to share an update on how the funds have been strategically allocated to benefit the diabetic community in the Turks and Caicos Islands.

The partnership between TCDA and G&P has been marked by a commitment to enhancing diabetes awareness, education, and patient care support. The funds received have played a pivotal role in advancing this mission.

Allocation of Funds:

  • Diabetes Test Kits: A significant portion of the funds has been dedicated to the procurement of Diabetes Test Kits. These kits are essential for effective diabetes management, enabling individuals to monitor their blood sugar levels accurately and consistently.
  • Blood Glucose Monitors: Monitoring blood glucose levels is a fundamental aspect of diabetes care. The funds provided by G&P have been instrumental in acquiring state-of-the-art blood glucose monitors, which have been distributed to those in need within the diabetic community.
  • Insulin Pumps: Recognising the importance of insulin pumps in the lives of certain individuals with specific medical requirements, TCDA has made these devices accessible to its members who require them. Furthermore, others in the diabetic community have also benefited from this provision.
  • Gift Cards: To cater to the diverse needs of diabetic individuals, TCDA has introduced the distribution of gift cards for various stores. These cards offer recipients the flexibility to purchase essential supplies and support tailored to their specific requirements.

TCDA and G&P understand the significance of responsible fund allocation, ensuring that every contribution directly improves the quality of life for those affected by diabetes in the Turks and Caicos Islands. This aligns with their commitment to making a positive impact in the local community, businesses, and individuals seeking a diagnosis, and ongoing management of both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.

David Stewart, Partner with G&P, and Managing Director of Coriats Trust Company said:

‘We’re delighted to support the incredible work of the Diabetic Association and thank the team for sharing an update on how the efforts of our team are being used to support the local community. We remain committed to achieving our 2-year target of $50,000 and thank everybody at the G&P Group for their continued support.’
